The Sino-Brazilian Friendship Association recently had the honour of receiving two letters that symbolise the strength and depth of relations between Brazil and China.
The first message, sent by Shen Xin, Vice-President of the Chinese People's Friendship Association with Foreign Countries, celebrates the success of the exchange held between 10 and 15 March, the result of the dedicated cooperation of our association's president, Mr Henrique Nóbrega. Shen Xin highlighted the Association's organisational capacity and positive influence, reflected in the active participation of more than 50 people, including representatives from the Copacabana Fort Orchestra, Casa de Macau, the China Association of Seminary Students (AESC) and the city of Duque de Caxias.
In his letter, Shen Xin reiterated his deep gratitude and revealed plans to hold a new event at the end of October, in partnership with the Consulate General of China in Rio de Janeiro. This event, entitled "Destination China-Brazil", will celebrate the first anniversary of President Xi Jinping's historic letter to Brazilian friends, reinforcing the commitment to building a Community of Shared Future for a fairer world and a more sustainable planet.
The second letter came from the Jiangmen Wuyi Overseas Friendship Association, located in Jiangmen, Guangdong province - a city recognised as the "Capital of the Chinese Diaspora". The association expressed its sincere gratitude for the warm welcome and support during its delegation's visit to Brazil at the end of March. In its message, it emphasised the importance of working together to deepen the friendship between the two regions and promote opportunities for exchange and cooperation. Jiangmen, which has strong ties with its citizens abroad, reiterates its invitation to Brazilian friends to visit the city, explore new partnerships and take part in building a new era of modernisation in the Chinese style.
Receiving these expressions is a source of great pride for our Association and reinforces our commitment to continue promoting friendship, cultural exchange and practical cooperation between Brazil and China.
