9月23日上午，代表团在巴西里约华人联谊会会址所在地举行座谈会。中巴友协主席Henrique Couto da Nóbrega ，巴西研修班学院协会主席Claudia Jannuzzi，山河文化中心总裁Márcia Melchior和里约州教育厅官员ClaudiaJannuzzi作为嘉宾致辞，里约华人联谊会会长陈炳文、里约天主教大学孔子学院校长孙艳萍及当地华文教师20多人参加了座谈会，座谈会由我国驻里约热内卢总领事馆参赞徐元盛主持。
Strengthening co-operation with Brazilian language teaching and other institutions to understand the diverse educational needs of Chinese abroad
On the morning of 23 September, the delegation held a symposium at the site of the Rio Chinese Exchange in Brazil. Henrique Couto da Nóbrega, President of the Brazilian Association of Training Courses, Márcia Melchior, President of the Mountain Cultural Centre, and Claudia Jannuzzi, an official from the Rio State Department of Education, gave speeches, Sun Yanping, President of the Confucius College of the Catholic University of Rio, and more than 20 local Chinese teachers attended the symposium, which was chaired by Xu Yuansheng, Counsellor of the Consulate General of Rio de Janeiro.
座谈会上，宋献中代表学校与中巴友协主席Henrique Couto da Nóbrega签署了合作备忘录，拟在中巴文化教育交流、语言培训等领域开展合作。宋献中介绍了2018年习近平总书记考察暨南大学时对我校提出的"把中华文化传播到五洲四海"的殷殷嘱托以及暨南大学"有海水的地方就有暨南人"的侨教办学成绩。中巴友协主席Henrique Couto da Nóbrega表示希望能够积极促进中巴教育、人文交流，期待携手推进中文、中医、中药在巴西和全世界的影响力。陈炳文和华文教师张丽动情地分享了华联会与暨南大学源远流长的缘分--20多年前华联会开设的华文补习班用的就是暨南大学编写出版的《中文》教材。
At the symposium, Song Xianzhong represented the College and Henrique Couto da Nóbrega represented the Sino-Brazilian Friendship Association. Both signed a memorandum for co-operation in the fields of cultural exchanges, education and language training in China and Brazil. Song Xianzhong introduced what was proposed by General Secretary Xi Jinping to the school in 2018, when he visited South China University to spread Chinese culture. Henrique Couto da Nóbrega, president of the Sino-Brazilian Friendship Association, expressed the hope that he could actively promote the exchange of Sino-Brazilian education and humanities and looked forward to working together to promote the influence of Chinese medicine in Brazil and the world.
9月23日-25日，代表团先后访问了巴西里约中国国际学校与德馨双语学校。巴西里约中国国际学校中方校长周亮分享了建校历程及现在所面临的生源和师资方面的挑战。德馨双语学校校长魏万古介绍了学校由一个课室成长为拥有800多名学生的华校的艰难历程，表示将努力培养更多优秀学生到暨南大学深造。

From 23 to 25 September, the delegation visited the Rio Chinese International School and the German Bilingual School in Brazil. Chinese director Zhou Liang, from the Chinese International School in Rio, Brazil, shared the school's challenges and the source of students and teachers it faces. Wei Wangu, headmaster of the German Bilingual School, introduced the difficult course of the school growing from a classroom to a Chinese school with more than 800 students, and said that he would endeavour to train more outstanding students to study at Chunnan University.
