Last Wednesday, 12 March, the Sino-Brazilian Friendship AssociationThe event in Rio de Janeiro strengthened ties between Brazil and China. O Sino-Brazilian Friendship and Exchange Meeting brought together authorities, cultural representatives and leaders to celebrate the co-operation between the two countries in various areas.
The event started at 18h30The opening ceremony was followed by the presentation of the guests, followed by a series of speeches by influential figures. Henrique Couto Nóbrega, president of the Sino-Brazilian Friendship Association, opened the session alongside Shen Xinvice-president of the Chinese Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries. The panel of speakers was also attended by Auntie Juvice-president of the Legislative Assembly of the State of Rio de Janeiro and president of the Brazil-China Friendship Front, as well as Tian MinConsul General of China in Rio.
The sharing session was one of the most eagerly awaited moments, with reports on Sino-Brazilian cooperation in culture, education and trade. Among the guests were Márcia Melchiorpresident of the Riomont Art and Culture Association and director of the Copacabana Orchestra; Claudia Jannuzzipresident of the Brazil-China Creative Economy Institute; and Uncle Wilsonformer mayor of Caxias.
Another highlight was the signing ceremony for a donation agreement with the Mangueira Residents' Association, reinforcing the commitment to grassroots cooperation between the countries.
The event ended with a photo session and free interaction between the participants, promoting new dialogues and connections between Brazil and China. The meeting demonstrated, once again, the strengthening of the partnership between the nations, encouraging cultural and economic exchanges for the benefit of both peoples.
